A person gains weight if he consumes more calories than what his body uses, has little physical activity or has a low basal metabolic rate resulting in the accumulation of too much body fat.
Causes
- Overeating . Excess calories are stored as fat
- Sedentary lifestyle (low physical activity or no exercise)
- Low basal metabolism; hypothyroidism (unusually slow metabolism ) in rare cases.
What you can do??????
- Consult a doctor
- Reduce your wight by eating less and following a low-fat, high fiber diet. Eat more vegetables , fruits and whole grain cereals.
- Engage in Aerobic exercise activities like swimming , cycling, walking and jogging .
