FIFA World Cup Official Ball

The official ball of FIFA World Cup in Brazil has been announced by Adidas with the name of Brazuca. Brazuca which symbolized the lifestyle of Brazilian life has been chose after receiving nearly one million vote from the fans all over the world.

With six different panel combined, this ball also decorated with the colorful traditional bracelet of hope which popular in Brazil.

Leisure Games

Bowling or also known as tenpin bowling is a competitive and leisure sport. This games needed only one player to roll a bowling ball on a lane made by synthetic wood. The game point is taken by how many you can drop a pin in single bowl. It is a relax game and also make your body exercise without sweating.

Ronaldo hopes to avoid big guns in Brazil draw !

Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo believes Spain, Brazil and Germany are the favourites to win next year’s World Cup and is keen to avoid all three in Friday’s draw for the group stages.

 The Real Madrid forward ensured his country will be represented in Brazil  next summer with a stunning individual performance as he scored all four goals  in Portugal’s 4-2 aggregate playoff win over Sweden last month.

 However, having been eliminated by Spain in each of the last two major  tournaments, he is keen to avoid some of his club teammates along with Brazil  and three-time winners Germany in the early stages.

 “The candidates to win the World Cup are Brazil, Spain and Germany. Ideally  it is not a good moment to be drawn with them, but we are not thinking about  that just now,” he told Spanish sports daily Marca.

   “We will see what the draw presents us with. We are confident, in good  shape and we have achieved our objective of getting to Brazil. Hopefully we  will not be drawn with any of these really strong teams from the start.”    Ronaldo has paid slightly for his efforts in the match against Sweden as he  has missed Real’s last two games due to a slight muscle problem.

   However, Madrid have continued their rampant form of late even without  their star man as Gareth Bale took centre stage with his first hat-trick since  joining the Spanish giants in a 4-0 win over Valladolid last weekend.

Southeast Asia Games 2013, Myanmar

This is the 27th Sea Games and Myanmar has been awarded to host this event. The Southeast Asian Games Federation (SEAGF) has met in Jakarta on 31 May 2010 to decide which country will hosts this upcoming event and on June 2010 SEAGF choose Myanmar as the host of 27th Sea Games 2013.

We wish all the best to our athletes and hopefully will bring back more medals to make our nation pride.

FAM interested to get the service of Philippe Troussier, former coach of Japan to replace K. Rajagobal by the end of Disember. Hopefully this is the best for our national squad and we wish all the best to Datuk K. Rajagopal.

CYCLING SYRIAN - FOR THE SAKE OF HUMANITY

The students of Bachelor in Communication Corporate Communication, is organizing a cycling charity event to raise funds for the people in Syria.

The main objective of this event is to raise donations and awareness for the people in Syria.

History of Malaysian Football

Football is the first sport brought from another country to the Malaya when British occupied the land between 1825. Later, few clubs has been established in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Perak, Johor and Negeri Sembilan. However in 1926, base of establishment of Football Association of Malaya (FAM) has been done before it became official as the main body on 1933.

In 1956, FAM became the member of the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) after becoming a member of Asian Football Confederate (AFC) in 1954. Later in 1960, FAM changed its name from Football Association of Malaya to Football Association of Malaysia.

Tunku Abdul Rahman which is the first Prime Minister of Malaysia has been chosen as the first FAM President in 1951 before taken over by Tun Abdul Razak Hussien for one year period in 1975.

FAM then led by Tan Sri Hamzah Abu Samah, former Minister of Industrial and Trading in 1976 until 1983 and in 1984, Sultan of Pahang, Sultan Ahmad Shah took charged the FAM until now.

NATIONAL SQUAD

Before Malaysia was formed, our national squad has been known as Malaya Squad and it is the team that feared by other Asian national squad. Malaya team has become the strongest team in Asian region in early 1950 which was the era of Datuk Ghani Minhat. The best achievements that Malaya team ever recorded in that time was winning the bronze medal in Asian Games 1962 in Jakarta, Indonesia after beating South Vietnam by 4-1.

After the establishment of Malaysia on 16 September 1963, this team has been known as the Malaysian Football Team. The success continued as Malaysia managed to qualify to the Olympic 1972 in Munich. Two years later, Malaysia repeated the achievement in 1962 after managed to get bronze medal in Asian Games 1974 in Tehran.

It was that time that we have a national football legend, late Datuk Mokhtar Dahari which has a record of 125 goals from 167 international caps. Mokhtar or popularly known as Supermokh began represent for Malaysia in Pestabola Merdeka 1972 before made a final appearances when Malaysia faced South Korea on Pre-World Cup competition in 1985.

However, for the national squad, a stunning record continued when Malaysia managed to qualify in Asian Cup for two times in 1976 and 1980. Then, once again Malaysia managed to booked a ticket to Olympic Games 1980 in Moscow but because of the Soviet Union invasion on Afghanistan, Malaysia has withdraw from the tournament in act of boycotting the Soviet Union act.

The success of national squad tainted in 1994 because of the largest corruption scandal involving many main players in national squad.

Games from all over this past weekend

Well there are so many interesting games happened all around this past week starting from Watsons Malaysian Cup which saw Kelantan and Sarawak through to semi final after beating their rivals in the 2^nd leg of Malaysian Cup.

Kelantan recorded a big win after thrashing their arch rival, Johor Darul Takzim by six goals thriller with an aggregate 8-5 while Sarawak came from behind to beat Sime Darby with 3-1 agregate.

Kelantan will face Angkatan Tentera Malaysia (ATM) while Sarawak will entertain Pahang in the semi final of Watsons Malaysian Cup which be held on 18 and 19 October and the Second Leg will be held on 25 and 26 October.

Enough of Malaysian Cup, lets head to England which in the Barclays Premier League. There are so many breath taking games happened over this past weekend and the result as well. The most surprising games which saw West Ham beat the big spending Tottenham by three goals to nil. These are the full result.

Football can unite people from all over the world and can make them quarrel each other as well. It’s a passion that made this game beautiful.

Based on Greek tales, the ancient Olympic Games were founded by Hercules, son of Zeus from Greek era.

History stated that the first Olympic Games were held on 776 BC although many believe it is happened long time ago.

Based on a record made by Coroebus, a runner who took part in the Olympic Games has won a 192 metres running event, making him the very first winner in the history of the Olympic Games.

The ancient Olympic Games rapidly expanded and were held once in four years for the next 1200 years. However, Emperor Theodosius 1, the Greek Emperor who believes in Christianity has abolished the Olympic Games in 393 AD because he believed the Olympic Games is the festival for the atheist (those who do not have any religion).

As a result of Theodosius action, the Olympic Games become standstill for thousands of years until it was brought back in 19^th century by a French aristocrat, Pierre de Coubertin.

Coubertin was born in 1863. He was only seven years old when German conquered France in Franco-Prussia war in 1870.

There are some opinion said that Coubertin was the one who contributed in the winning of France in Franco-Prussia war after realized the initial lost by France was because of the sluggishness of his army.

After couple of years with research and observation, Coubertin believes the sluggishness of his army due to lack of exercising.

Later, Coubertin established an USFSA sports organisation. Two years later, he suggested that Olympic Games should be held again and in 1892, USFSA held its first convention in Paris.

In those meeting, his voice was ignored until couple of years later when Coubertin organized a 79 delegation meeting from nine different countries which then formed International Olympic Committee (IOC).

A Greek representatives, Demetrious Vikelas was elected as the first president whereas Athens as the venue to bring back the Olympic Games.

The first Olympic Games were held again in April 1896 in Panathenaic Stadium which originally built in 330 AD as the first venue of the Olympic Games.
